May 28, 2018 – The Pieces That Caught My Eye At ICFF!
Each May, NYC hosts the International Contemporary Furniture Fair at the Javits Center. This year was the 30th anniversary and over 900 exhibitors from around the world participated. World-class designers, emerging talents, the largest architectural and interior design firms and design enthusiasts from every discipline gathered to celebrate the very best in design and innovation. I decided to take a trip up to see the new trends and get inspired!! There is always a ton of very edgy lighting, unique furniture and innovative materials. Apr 22, 2018 – My Favorite Finds at High Point Market this Spring!
After a busy season at the shop, I was excited to get out and see new things. I spent 4 full days in High Point, North Carolina and explored the many bustling showrooms in the furniture capital of the US. Practically every furniture line out there, unveils their newest creations for the design industry to hopefully swoon over. I covered a lot of ground and found a lot of new resources which was one of my primary goals this trip. Design work at the shop has really picked up and I had to hunt for and validate pieces for my design jobs. Featured here are some of my favorite discoveries. The more you get to know me and my style, the more you realize that I like things that have great texture, are a bit masculine and use color in a sophisticated way. David
Mar 18, 2018 – The Beauty of Ravishing Rocks!
I am such a fan of rocks and find Mother Nature so incredibly inspiring. Selenite is one of my favorites. I love its white translucent glass like quality. Often seen in long thin sheets or shards, the texture plays with light in a breathtaking way. Many people also believe that selenite dissipates negative energy and provides healing power. Whatever you think, I am certain that everyone would unanimously agree that it is gorgeous. Here are some of my favorite items from the shop that highlight gorgeous gems from the earth! David
Feb 10, 2018 – Favorite Finds From Atlanta’s Winter Market
Recently, the interior design industry made their way to Atlanta to view and shop new introductions from several thousand home furnishing brands. It can be an exhausting but also a thrilling experience. There is so much to take in, lots of “stuff” mixed in with hidden gems. I always make it my mission to find a new line that I haven’t selected from in the past. These are some of my finds, all on the way to the store! A fresh mix of materials and textures. David

Dec 2, 2017 – Luxe Holiday Gifts That Impress!
Republic of Decor is a great place to visit during the holiday season for gorgeous unique decor and gift ideas. Here I am featuring items that will surely impress. Your holiday table should always have serving pieces that will add color and pattern. Green malachite and red poinsettia dishes paired with embroidered linens and hand painted cocktail napkins, take it to another level… Make sure to treat your loved ones with delicious Louis Sherry chocolates in their famous iconic metal boxes, mmmmm! Get personal with these hand made Christmas quilling cards. The note inside will be just as meaningful as the work of art on the outside. Nov 18, 2017 – Dreamy Handmade Bowls to Die For!
I am obsessed with these hand made ceramic pottery pieces from Boston. Each piece is made to order, handcrafted on the pottery wheel then drawn and painted by skilled artisans. They use a creamy white earthenware that provides a smooth white canvas for the colorful patterns. Each piece is finished with a coat of glossy clear glaze and accented with a luxurious 14k gold rim. These bowls make quite a statement and are perfect for the centerpiece of a table, containers for flowers and are even food safe for dinner parties! It’s that time of year again and the spotlight is on High Point, NC to see what the industry is buzzing about. I love to investigate the trends and find pieces that stand out. This season, I was drawn to unique shapes and details. There was an organic textural feel with creative material use. My favorites here have a sculptural sensibility that create artful focal points in a space.
Aug 12, 2017 – Tiles to Swoon Over
I am working on a complete remodel project for a client and have been doing extensive material research for kitchens and bathrooms. There are so many incredible tile options out there that are inspirational. Whether you prefer natural stone or man-made, there is a lot to choose from at a wide range of price points. These are just a small batch that caught my eye. Personally, I can’t resist the stunning natural slabs of agate. Mother Nature creates gorgeous one of a kind works of art. I also love tile that adds bold pops of color and texture. The energy it creates on a wall or floor can transform a space. My advice would be – don’t get trapped with boring and safe, pick a tile that creates a bit of drama even if you use it sparingly, the impact will be sensational!

I am a firm believer that every space should have something that is a bit unexpected to provide some visual interest. These elements create conversation and provide whimsy to a room. July 18, 2017 – My Favorite Finds From Atlanta Market
I had a productive trip to Atlanta to attend their summer home show. This market primarily features decorative accessories and gift items however furniture showrooms are also there. As you know, I am always on the search for unique things that are fresh and sophisticated. I hunted and hunted throughout the 3 buildings of multiple floors to find pieces that I want to share with you. I placed some good orders for new merchandise for the shop, so stay tuned for updates on new arrivals. These are some of the great finds that caught my eye!
July 9, 2017 – I Am Hot For Horn!
Horn is one of the chicest, most stylish materials used in home decor and furniture in my opinion. It has a timeless sophistication that can feel right at home in many design aesthetics. Natural horn typically comes from water buffalo, cows and rams but often times it is replicated using resin or with paint finishes. Here are some of my favorite accessory and furniture pieces that highlight the gorgeous tones of the material. The table collection makes me swoon!

I am obsessed with wallpaper, plain and simple. When I work on design jobs, I love hunting for ideas to share with my clients. Wallpaper these days has gone to entirely new level. It really is art and many options are in fact hand-crafted. Of course, these are the ones that make me salivate! Shown here are some of my current favorites. During market week, showrooms go all out to host designers and retailers to get excited and place orders. I had a great visit and found lots of fabulous new items that will be heading to the shop.
